Bitter End Family Fun Week

Had a great time over in the BVI this Thanksgiving Holiday week. Nothing like sailing in the Carribean. Warm, windy and beautiful. Here is a short video that shows the place and some sailing events we did. Shot with a Go Pro HD worn as a head cam. Can be viewed as up to 720p.

Great video shots, Matt. Hmmm, but that C mark rounding needs some work. laugh

Bit wide and not hard to weather when I rounded smile. 10 races in 25 plus knots, steering with my hiking foot! Man... I was tired that day!

Awesome. Perfect weather for a Wave. We found 45 mph was a bit much -- upwind not so bad, but downwind was a bear. Normally, we head for the mark, but this was the first time tacking downwind worked. When a big puff hit, head up. Heading down would cause an immediated pitchpole -- not enough bow out there to keep it afloat.
Been wanting to do that Bitter End thing for a number of years now.
Rick
