So today begins the dismantling of my Prindle 19. I want to cut an inspection port in each of the bow pontoons. I have no idea what a prindle 19 looks like on the inside. However the catamaran is in need of some TLC. Does anyone know anything about this type of procedure? I'd greatly appreciate any input/ideas!
Thanks!

I will give you one major tip. Don't put an inspection port in any catamaran in front of the front cross beams. The loads up there will certainly cause a hull failure.

Somebody suggested looking inside with a web cam, something I hadn't thought of, and found quite useful. You can attach one to something flexible and see quite a bit from the rear inspection ports. Don't know if that would help, since you didn't say what problem you were trying to solve...

Here is how I do it.

Except I use Epoxy now instead of Poly resins. There are a lot of posts against messing with the bows on Prindles. But I look at this way you can fix it before it breaks or afterwards.
