With the boards in front of the beams you will get less wheelie action from the bows(than board behind the beam) and the ability to drive the boat that much harder without stuffing. It may even help with the 8.5 beams if you raised the windward board and let the foil create lift on the leaward.
Karl, if nobody replies to your post give Mr. Moss a call he knows a thing or two about modifying dagger board trunks, he almost makes it sound easy. He's a great resource but to be honest he'd probably rather talk to Beth... cause she is the brains of the outfit after all.

I dont think there have been any retrofits yet. The first batch of MK2 boats have only been hitting the water last weekend, they do look good though with the new rubber decks and long boards.
