My brother's selling his Nacra 5.5 at Gulfport at what I suspect is a very good price for it's condition (good to very good condition).

PM me for his number. It might fit the bill for you. Can be raced (no spinnaker) If you want, but it's easy to drop in the water and fun sail, too. Big enough for 2-3 adults or 2 adults and two kids. Should be easy enough for you to solo sail (uni-rig) or sail with friends (sloop). It has dabbarboards that arn't too deep, should you choose to use them

First of all \, thanks to all of you for taking the time to comment. All are apreciated. Second, Mike you mentioned thta you own (and like ) the Viper rudder system. Does it lock down as easily as my old Hobie 18 cam system?

I would disagree with this. It's all about the reality. You would be wise to take the advice of someone that has sailed these waters for 30 years. Buy something practical for the use and area you stated.

Have Fun

I would absolutely concur with this statement about shallow areas. I brought my F17 down for last winter and promptly ground off the tip of my rudder sailing from Clearwater to Dunedin Causeway. Fortunately, the boards were up. $300 repair bill made me pay more attention. Definitely ask the locals about the safe depth areas before you sail.
