It looks like an awesome venue for this year's Wave Nationals coming up in a few weeks on Dec 6-9 in the beautiful and awesome Florida Keys.., in Islamorada, where we have the steady 10-15 mph Tradewinds blowing all the time.
I was just down at the Islander Resort Yesterday and Dennis Green showed me all around and they really offer a lot.

Concerned over the conditions there, Dennis pointed out there is a nice little area just to the north that is more protected than where the A-Cats were. Looks great.

The Resort is offering the full beach for us, the launching areas were expanded from what they were, all the rocks that were there before are now removed.
They are offering a discounted rate on their rooms of $139, and are they ever nice -- all have either kings or double queens, full kitchens, (including full fridges, stove, microwaves, utensils, plates, glasses, cups), and a screened in llanai. Can't beat it.

Looks as if we will be using the resort for lunches daily and our Banquet Dinner on Saturday night. So, in staying there, once checked in, you will never have to drive anywhere.., just walk to food, booze and sailing.
Oh, and they have Complimentary Breakfasts in the lobby.

Dennis Green is bending over backwards to make this a great venue for us not only this year, but hopefully in the years to come.

They are holding a block of rooms for us until about a week before the event. So, call (305) 664-2031 for reservations as soon as possible, and ask for Connie. She and Dennis Green are our go-between with the Resort.

Sounds as if we are going to have a lot of new blood coming to the event this year.., so come on down to the Keys and have a great time with us.
Rick
