Man, no shots of the Maxis! They know how to hurt a guy's feelings!

I mean, I made sure I was far enough behind to give them plenty of time to set up and have a clear shot, but Noooo...

yeah...none of us on the 6.0 or our Team Seacats I20 (with all the gorgeous graphics!) either. I'm kinda glad they didn't get any of us on the 6.0 - most of them would have had an F14 right behind or us half sunk without drain plugs!

I thought somebody was pulling my leg about the drain plug thing!

More pics will be up on Walter's site soon.

Ok, give it up, just for those of us who are not fully savvy with the 'in' group here. Where are these pics?

Hi Bern -

www.twinhulls.com and www.waltercooperphoto.com

Walter's don't seem to be up yet, even though the link is hot.

Enjoy the glassy water!

Thanks John, nice pictures. Which one is you?
How many 14's? Any interesting discussion about F14?

I wish the drain plug thing was a joke! I have never done that before - hope to not do it again! The funny part is after finally draining the hulls and frantically pushing off the island for our start that just went off, my crew looks at me and says "Dude! did you get my shoes?". I'm not sure exactly how that task fell within my responsibilities as skipper, but we looked back at the tiny little island to see a lonely pair of shoes getting smaller as we sailed away.

Not bad for the "first" F14 regatta

Shoes??? What sort of shoes, and why was it necessary to take them off to put the plugs in? I mean were you sunbaking over there or just running barefoot in the sand ? The mind boggles he he he
It's amazing just how much a skipper is responsible for and it's one of the many reasons I sail single handed

Not a bad roll up at all considering.
I get lots of inquiries but no commitments as yet. I think many people are too busy trying to pay off the mortgage to go sailing.

I'm not sure why he took his shoes off but it took so long to get the water out of the hulls he may have been trying to even out his sun tan!

I got on the boat barefoot each morning, 'cause it was easier to rinse off my feet on the way to the start line than to get the red mud out of the treads of my sailing shoes.

Nuthin like the feelin of red Georgia mud squeezing up between your toes!

And if it does get on the tramp it's buggar to get off and red knees from the grit is usually the result.
Nice pic John.
