I'm bringing 2 H14 Maxis to the Roanoke Island Steeple Chase the weekend of Sept 18th/19th. I hear there will be an Isotope/Cheshire/SC F14 there, too.

Also, I'm dragging one of the 14 Maxis to the NAs in Syracuse this weekend if anyone wants to check it out.

There are two races coming up in Va Beach that will have 14s (probably Turbos) and if I can sail the race instead of running it, I may bring out one of the Maxis.

Anyone planning on making any races in the few weeks we have left of the season?

Mystere 4.3 class racing is relatively strong in Ohio at OCRA events. We have done some short "long distance" races lately (ten and twenty mile events) and have a good turnout in each OCRA regatta. We have several Mystere 4.3 class only events also. We have seen no interest in this area in any other type of 14 footer even though Hobie 14s are relatively easy and inexpensive to buy. Racing in general is continuing the long term downward trend. I see no evidence regionally or nationally of an F-14 class developing. Not meant to be a commentary, rather just a report based on your question; Truly wish the news was better.

While we raced on Portsmouth, we did have three 4.3s and my two Waves with Hooters for Bay Week Regatta in August.
Albeit, I had to quit after the first day with a sprained back. I spent the rest of the week working out my right arm.
