Rather interesting to read about long distance cat racing.
Going to do it myself - about 100 miles Tornado sailing.
Does anybody know a book or tips about Worrell or the other LDR and all? I have read Rick's White Cat Sailing for 90's. There is a chapter about LDR.

I don't know of any Worrell books or books on distance racing. You might post on the open forum and get a better response.

Boris, equipment list are posted on a couple of sites, plus things to do to ready your boat.
My advice, replace everything that could break or is greater than 2 yrs old(pins, rings, rigging, lines, rudder cams, castings, springs, eye screw adjusters(NACRA), .... you get the point. 100 miles is not o bad when you are only going for 1 day, but put 6 -10 of those days together in a row,and things become a little sketchy. Also dont forget the GPS, extra batteries, food, H2O, maps, lights, cell phone, VHF...

The men were amazed, and said, "What kind of a man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey Him?" Matthew 8:27
