You would have probably put some money on Man of War back in those days as well. Geez, you are a big gambler. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

The Marstrom just barely eked out a line honor finish yesterday and was 3rd the first leg.., not exactly "kicking butt." Tybee is the one kicking butt and so is Morada. Take a look at the ratings to see who is supposed to be fast and who is not.
If this race were on DPN the Nacra 6.0 would have a huge lead.

How do you suppose that M-20 will fair in the surf landings as far as wear and tear goes? I know that she really babies that boat normally.

And yes, I would bet on M.O.W.

You can see her and John cringe everytime the launch or finish. The first finish they stopped, turned the boat around and backed across line while still in the water.
The next they dropped the spin just before the finish.., and now she is going for it full tilt.

That is what I thought. I would cringe too after dropping the dime for that beauty.

When I talked to Carla on Saturday she said that she was really worried about the damage the beach would cause to the hulls earlier in the week. She said that she ended the race without a scratch on the bottom. If thats the case, its impressive.

Can anyone verify that the M20 did indeed survive surf landings "without a scratch"? This sounds a little hard to believe. Even a soft sand landing will leave SOME marks, or maybe I'm splitting hairs on this...
