Hello,
I am in the area (USF) for a bit.

I would like to see and meet some of the locals.

Maybe even get a chance to sail one of the F16's ( we do not have any down were I am)

Does it always rain and lightning for hours like this?

Plus, I have beed reading the the sharks do like humans alot more than they should...

I rate myself as 'average' sailor..

,..do you have any races coming up ther 4th weekend?

regards,

Bruce

Hey Bruce,
Post something in the Tampa Area Forum as well. Link is

Gulfport YC in St. Pete has most of the cats in the area.

Tampa is the world leader in lightning strikes and they kill more per year than the sharks or alligators...so don't go golfing!

Ha!
I believe it.
Do you realize, in the islands, a thunder and lightning storm is a rare event? Maybe 2 - 3 a year?

However, we have those H storms,...
