I am attempting to create a database of regattas open to Corsair/Farrier trimarans to publish on the organization website.

I would REALLY appreciate it if you would forward me regatta names, places and contact information for all your regattas open to Corsair trimarans. Forward same to tamishel @ yahoo.com

Yes, I know there's an Fboat list, but it's not as widely read and some of the beachcat races may invite big tri's too.

I really appreciate your help,
thanks in advance
tami

Tami:

Here is the NOR for HYC Mid-Winters next weekend. I know they have a F Fleet there. Hope this helps.

Hi Tami

On the Chesapeake Bay, the F boats have two options.

We have several distance type races on portsmouth against the beach cats that they are welcome to play at. We already have a Renoylds 33 playing and should have a Raider 30 back in action next season. Love to see some F boats out there.

They are the CRAC Icebreaker, the CRAC Chesapeake 100, the PSA Overnight Race, The West River Twilight Race, the NASS Race to Oxford, the TAYC Race Back and the CRAC Lighthouse Race

There is also a crusing multihull circuit of 6 or so races using a Chesapeake Bay Rating system. This is where the F boats have usally gone to race...

We have a TON of F boats on the West River but they don't seem to come out and play much.

Info on the top circuit will be at www.sailcrac.com
Info on the bottom circuit will be at www.cbyra.com shortly.

Take Care
Mark

The Lahaina Yacht Club http://lahainayachtclub.org/ and the Maui Boat & Yacht Club http://www.mauisailingnews.com/ will both have multihull starts this year. Schedules will be posted shortly.

Most of the multihulls will probably be Corsairs.

Tami,
Have you checked our schedules, under the category "Events Open to Bigger Boats"? There are 16 events listed so far for this year, and more will be coming in. Last year there were at least 25 events listed in this category, and I assume most of them will be repeats this year.

Go to the catsailor.com home page and click on "Events" in the bar at the top, and then scroll down till you come to "Events for Bigger Boats."

If you want the list from last year, I can e-mail it to you, and then you can check with the contact persons to find out the dates for this year for events not already on our 2006 list. Or maybe you already have all that. Lemme know.

Thanks Mary, appreciate it. I'll go and get the info myself, it's no trouble at all.

I'm not sure the list y'all have is comprehensive. For instance, Slip to Ship and Island Hop are open to multihulls of whatever size. Really, we don't care what boat you bring, whether 'leaner' or multihull ;-)

In any case, all help is appreciated and I will be using your lists
thanks
tami

If you find events that are open to the bigger multihulls and are NOT on our lists, we would appreciate your sending those to us, as well, to add to our schedule.

Thanks.

I'll send you the Excel list that I'm developing once we get it finalized and set up at the FTA site. Will that work?
