I am certain that there are advantages in any stock boat for light air, heavy air light crews and fat bodies. My blood would be pumping with 10 - 30 boats at the starting line. There are not that many I20s in the Houston area so for that dream to come true an open class that includes different boats would need to be created. This class would allow creative sailors to push their boats to the limit. I do not believe that all of the rules need to be worked out before racing can begin nor do I think that everyones needs will be met by the class. I am certain that someone will have the fastest boat and someone will have the slowest. It serves no purpose to argue the rules and and weight ratios and righting moments only to sit at a computer and not sail. I am greatful that the local Hobie fleet lets non hobies race but I still have my dream of 20 20ft boats on the line when the horn sounds. BTW http://web2.airmail.net/mreiter anyone?
