yes you read it correctly "Altered" is For Sale for Aus$16,000. I tried to attach a power point file with all the details, but it didn't work so contact me here and ask for more information if you are interested.
Before you ask, no I am not getting out of F16, hope to continue to sail F16, but want a F16 that I can sail 1 or 2 up with my boys when they want to sail with me
The other question I can't answer for sure yet. What I change to depends on what production F16's are available when "Altered" is sold.

just thought I would attach a pic of Altered that my 18yo cut down for me, just in case you think Altered is only sailed on flat water in light breezes.
here's another one, note the twist in the head and I was still overpowered if anything. Check where the boom is centered, I think it may be time to start dropping the traveller?

I think that is as good as it gets, my son tells me all he did was cut out some back ground. I think Tim has the original CD that was sent from Eden. This pic was copied from CD to hard drive to flash drive then cut down, finaly down loaded from flash drive, does that drop quality?
Love your wall paper of Canadian Blade it's taken over from Altered on my computer for the moment.
JPG files can lose quality with every Save. JPG processing loses information everytime it runs it's compression routine. Many programs allow you to control the amount of jpg compression. So, the potential exists that the original is in a somewhat better condition but probably not as clear as what Robi wants.
Here is the original of Gary sailing away from the cliffs - with spectators on the rocks. There are two almost identical shots but I think this one is slightly clearer.
Warning - this file is 1.6MB

"Alered" is still for sale, now at bargain price of $13,000. I am happy to sell boat platform only or no trailer or other variations, price is negotiable.
You could be doing this soon, see attachment.
Yup Edmonton Had our last regatta Oct 8-9. It was below freezing in the mornings. Gradually warmed up to about 7 deg C. Strangely, I haven't even invested in a drysuit yet. Seasons over now we start up again in May, but some years we have been delayed waiting for the ice to go out.
I believe that I'm the only F16 in Canada. Lack of cat type competition is stifling my development. But a spin cat is what I wanted. You won't find me hiking some laser flat just for the sake of good competition.
Didn't there used to be several Unicorns in your area? What happened to them? Now I can't remember the name of the guy who built them there. And aren't there still a bunch of 18-squares down at Lake Ma-me-o? And aren't there any Sea Sprays still around?
Well, it's probably been 14 years since we were up that way, so I guess things change.

Hey, don't complain -- as long as there is conversation here, you are continuing to get publicity. And nobody should feel bad about hijacking this thread, since it is totally not kosher to advertise boats for sale on the forums.
I don't know why Stewart and Bobcat started talking about Edmonton, but since they did, I really am curious about Bobcat's statement that there is no cat activity up there any more.
It certainly is relevant to the F16 Class, because if Bobcat is the only F16 up there, that Edmonton area would be perfect for developing a fleet. Most of the former cat sailors in that area seemed to be into singlehanded boats, and those inland lakes in western Canada are perfect for the F16.
Maybe Bruce could become a dealer.

Sorry Gary, something is going on. Those of us way up north are looking at another winter. The DT's are setting in. Therefore hijacks happen. I felt that it would of been rude to not answer Stewart, yet worse to start a new thread on the conversation. I suppose a PM should have been the proper course of action.
Now, do I answer Mary or not? Here goes nothing. 15 years ago was the heydey of the Tornado fleet here. By the time I started in 1994, it was already waning. There are still 3 of these old-school T's on the beach, but I think I raced against only 1 of them and that was on 1 day. The Unicorn guy you are thinking about is probably Dick Harper. He was a fantastic inspiration, but was forced to quit due to his arthritis. He was in his late 80's at the time. Another Unicorn does come out on the race course but I usually don't see him after the start line (unless I'm looking back for some reason). He bought new plywood hulls this year and may become more competitive.
There are some sea-sprays still but they don't come to the race course at all.
Al Schuster (on these forums) has an old-school T on this lake. We PM'd early this year but were never able to get together. There was a guy who bought a Nacra F18 last year. I talked to the Nacra dealer and asked him to forward my number. The F18 didn't call. I haven't seen him on the lake although he would be at the opposite end.
I have heard about the Nacra fleet at Mameo. A bunch of cottage owners loosely organized. It is on my to-do list to try to get invited there.
I am building a trailer this winter and do hope to take the F16 to some other lakes. I have been invited down to California, but seeing as how I haven't ever trailered farther than 50 miles, I am going to do this in baby-steps.

Now back to your regularly scheduled programing. Have you heard? Altered is for sale!

Lets talk in '07 about '08.
To tell the truth, I don't want to drive all that way to have my 'donkey' handed to me. I know there is a lot I don't know (I was at Tradewinds in January). It would be better for me to drive there on a non-regatta type weekend when you people would have some time for me. Just as an example, I haven't trapezed under spinnaker yet. Baby steps.
