Good call but this was a classic David and Goliath day, unfortunately they happen all too rarely. As for the playground Mumbles was named by the Vikings due to a couple of tit shaped islands off the headland. Nowadays, the local cat sailors call it the 'G' spot.

Should not be a rare occurance in those conditions..... The light weight F16s will humble many boats in that breeze. My experiences have been that the F18s and Ts don't seem to stretch their legs until they pull 2 strings. Fortunatly for us, here in OZ we are blessed with good breeze more times than not.

Just looking at pic 3 with the Stealth in front of the 2 F18s.... The Stealth up front has the skipper sitting at the front beam, whist the 2 F18s look to be sitting right at the back, dragging the transoms?????

Yea, you're right. We were still in the lee of the land behind us but I can assure you that once we got further out into the bay 'close to the bottom of the google earth page' both the swell and prevailing westerly wind picks up quite dramatically.

Hi Steve,

now that's a bit more like it, I didn't think it was like you to not come up with a fast reply. Touche.

If Carlsberg made boats it would be an F16 A-Class.

It's a bit deep Wouter. Carlsberg think they probably make the best Larger (US=Beer) in the World. Now do you get it?

You mean Lager ?

My point was that is "Carlsberg ?" relates to beer as A-cats to cat sailing then that may not be very kind to the A-cats. How many have really heard of Carlsberg ?

But then again I never claimed to be a great sailor ! Only that I'm a great engineer and class builder !

One of these things has definately alot to do with forums.

F16's are great, this Forum is great. Engineers, the jury is still out?

Jury - made up of 12 citizens too stupid to get out of jury duty. Do I (admittedly, an engineer) care what the jury says?
