As Simon indicates (I couldn't say 'says') High tide Wednesday is at 23:07hrs and a tiny 10.2m tide. Thursday there is only one high tide at 11:44hrs and it's a minuscule 10.0m or 32.8 feet. Just imagine what a spring tide is like!!

OK, I definitely couldn't make a sail on Wednesday evening. Are you still up for a little excursion on the Thursday? If so, what time would you head out? If I can comfortably get there and rig up on Thursday morning, I'll probably do that.

We are using ISAF Sailor IDs in the results so if your want your name linked to your sailing bio page, get yourself an ID. Some national level events make this mandatory now, so it's a good idea. In the future, it's also a possible route for easy entry into events - just give your ISAF-Sailor ID.

What a Circus? The vast majority of the expected 'A'Class sailors have already pre entered this event and wouldn't be surprised if their accommodation is sorted as well. This is more than can be said for the F16's. At present only Scooby and I have bothered. Taking the time to pre enter now is very helpful for the organisers (me) and will save you time and hassle when and if you enter. (a couple of minutes entering online = a couple of extra minutes at the Bar)

Despite the Circus syndrome I'm hoping that we should have 9-10 F16's = Me, Simon, Paul & Anne, Steve, Wayne, John A, Dave, Toby, Ed, Nigel? We might also have some guest appearances; John P or maybe Aron.
As for the 'A's we are expecting about 12-14
P.S Paul and Anne could have got their crewing tactics just right being the only 2 up Cat at present forecasts predict WIND [color:"red"] [/color]

Well it looks as if there will be between 6-8 F16's this year. As the A's aren't in favour of doing the proposed Long Course as part of their Nationals and the fact they have competitors coming from Ireland and Holland it looks as if we'll have to postpone the long course till another event. Sorry about that but looking at the latest weather reports I'm not sure if we'll be racing anyway. Over 26mph on Friday 11th

Mark,

OK, shame about the long distance race,

Given the forecast, how early can you got to the club on Wednesday - it's going to be blowing dogs off leads on Thursday !

I'll be working next door to Bonnie Tyler's house next week so I'm only a couple of minutes away from the Boat Park (name dropping). I'll send you a PM with my mobile number so give us a call when you arrive and I'll give you a hand with the mast etc and we can discuss drinking/sailing!!
Lets hope this predicted anticyclone blows out by Friday/Saturday

OK, sounds like a plan. What do you do for a living ?

I've bought Kim Wilde a pint, called Lemmy a nasty name, i've met Pricess Anne and Tony Blair, Ron Pickering lived in our close when I was a kid, And I've had an olympic Gold medal in my hand - no points for guessing who's !

Been watching wind forcasts - they are all over the place !

Now looking like Wednesday evening is going to be wet and windy !!!!!!

I think it might be a case of rig the boat and go to the pub !

(but I'm sure the forcast to change again before Wednesday !)

Entry list so far is on web site (go to results) and results will be updated daily for anybody interested.

www.mumblesyachtclub.co.uk

As and F16s will be scored separately and together as one fleet ( nothing like a bit of bar banter ) on elapsed time (no handicaps).
