Hello,

I just bought a used H16 and I am unsure of her age. Are there any markings or numbers that will help my age her?

Thanks.

Serial number is on the rear of the hulls. Last few digits indicate year. My last three are...81H. Indicates 1981 hobie. Sometimes these are painted over. The Hobie catalog indicates that the pylons connecting the Hull to the tramp frame are slotted (vertical track) pre 1994.

Good luck,

Greg

Hellow

I was in a similar situation but i didn't realy care on how old my boat was but i still found out. 1 way is the serial number at the rear of your boat can be on any peice of metal but isn't likely and the second is if you have the original sails just follow them up with some one elses numbers. My boat is about 10 years and my sail number is 81270. I hope this helps.
