Many years ago I had some pics on Geocities showing different types of boat building that I'd played around with.
Geocities is long gone but yesterday I stumbled across a replica of what I had and below is a link to
some pics of a build I did with my eldest son when he was just 13yrs old. (17 yrs ago)
This is just some pics I had up on chined construction.

BTW:- We still have the boat stored in my garage hanging from the ceiling.

nice work. I've had my youngsters help out occasionally with ship models which can be fun. Haven't had time or space to consider larger craft like that but I can see how something like that instills pride...

Jay,
At the time I wanted to teach my son that taking on a project and finishing it had rewards.
I think he got a lot from that project and loved the boat.
