Hope this is a little clearer than mud. The point is the Wave likes a windward, then long reach out, long reach back and a windward/leeward,

While the Rave likes a windward, then a really long reach (unless it is light air -- they need somewhere over 10 to begin to fly at decent speeds), then back to either a Leeward mark and then to finish, or just to a finish. They are not at all interested in the weather work or leeward work -- a pure reaching machine.

I don't know or remember what we had last year, but two windward marks would be fine, and two reaching marks -- one for a beam reach or a little lower that is about twice the distance as the upwind leg, (FOR THE WAVES), and another a mile or two past the Wave Reaching Mark (FOR THE RAVES).

If you don't want to use a C (Leeward) Mark, I think that would work for most of the classes.

Illustrations of Courses
See attached illustrations of the courses. There will an Inside Course and an Outside Course. The Inside Course will use Yellow Marks for the Windward and Reaching Marks. The Outside Course will use Bright Orange Cylindricals for the Windward and Reaching Marks.
The Leeward Mark for all courses, except the Wave Class, will be Bright Orange Cylindrical.
Inside NAHCA Course:
Weather Mark & Reaching Mark will be a Yellow Mark, while the Leeward Mark will be a Bright Orange Cylinder
Outside NAHCA Course:
Weather Mark, Reaching Mark & Leeward Mark will be a Bright Orange Cylindrical.
Special Wave Course:
Weather Mark & Reaching Mark will be a Yellow Tetrahedron, the Leeward Mark will be the Port End Mark of the Starting Line, and the Finish will be with the RC Boat to starboard and a Small Round Orange to port.
Special Rave Course:
The Weather Mark will be a Bright Orange Cylindrical, the Reaching Mark (Set far off on the horizon away from the other courses) will be a Yellow Mark, the Leeward Mark will be a Bright Orange Cylinder.
