I have a comp tip that has some definate wobble in it. It has the bolts on the side (older style) bit is a newer comp tip that I had to shorten at the top.

What is the best way to get the tip resealed and firm in the aluminum mast?

Thanks

Un bolt. Remove. Mix some epoxy glue (I use automotive Bond) spread the glue and re-install the tip. Use masking tape around the joints and inside the luff track to help limit over flow. Place the mast on some saw horses so you can easily keep it aligned when the epoxy is setting up. I also position the mast base against a solid object (tree, post or wall) that I can push against when installing. You can slide it is and when meeting resistance pull the entire assembly back and "pile-drive" the tip into place.
