No, the guys on the boat are Martien and Frank and they made a sport of being photographed like that. They certainly do have the best series pics of any time, they are every sport camera mans dream !

In fact, they didn't break their mast. No F16 had mast failures during the 2007 Global Challenge. One Blade was dismasted but that was due to loss of a rigging pin - but all was OK.
