I saw a listing yesterday for 9, 55 Gal drums of Epon 828 resin in Mass. I thing they want about $900 per drum. This is about $2 per pound - great deal. West System is almost $10 per pound. Epon 828 is one of the most common liquid resins out there.

A quick search did not turn up much structural data (Young's modulus etc.), but some references to conductivity and "potting". Which leads me to think that you could use it to floor your work shop but not build a boat.
Years ago I had a friend that found some "gray market" epoxy that he tried to use to repair a wooden E-Scow, needless to say the resin never cured properly! There was a lot of scraping and sanding to be done. Then I two "C" groups of West System for him. Boy, do old wooden boats soak up resin.

This is made by hexion chemicals and has full data sheets on the net. They provide the equivilent epoxide weight so you can calculate proper mix ratios with virtually any curing agent. The guy also has other stuff it turns out:

"I have available 1314 #s of Diethylene Triamine (DETA), 1692 #s of Dowanol PM (Glycol Ether),
516 #s of BDMA, 367#s of Methyl Imidazole, 396#s of Aradur 976 (DDS), 430#s of Dimethyl Formamide.

Let me know if you are interested in any of these and i can give you ship quantities (original packaging, we cant repackage small quantities)and pricing.

I also have several rolls of 7628 Fiberglass in 44 & 50 inch widths.

Let me know. "
