My girlfriend and I will be flying in to Tampa very late Thursday the 16th. Can someone recommend a cheap place to stay that night and transportation to GYC. We could stay near the airport and come to GYC Friday morning. My boat will be at GYC.

Into Tampa?

Me personally, seeing how you're coming in late...I'd stay at a hotel near Tampa Int'l Airport (there are tons of them) and drive into GYC in the morning.

Not many choices near Gulfport.

I can't recommend anything cheap near GYC. Best to go with Tback on this one.

Thanks for the information. My double stack deal just fell through, so I'm trying to arrange another. Is anyone interested in double stacking to Gulfport after Spring Fever?

This is where a one of the officers suggested I stay. I have not checked the price.

My wife and I stay at the Seabreeze. They are both convenient and pleasant.

Any consensus? I am in, but would like to stay with the rest of the F16 crowd.

I stayed at a Days Inn a few miles from the club once. It was a little shady, but had a nice pool and hot tub. 34th Street, maybe.......

Traditionally this has been F16 and A Class, what other boats are coming (as it is an open regatta this year).

Both are small. We've had our reservations for months. Seabreeze offers breakfast.

Tom all multihulls are invited.
5 or more make a class.
4 or less they will be placed into open portsmouth.

All spin boats will have one start, hopefully I20s, F18 and F16s.

Is there a place to park a motor home at GYC or nearby?

I'll check. You mean for the April regatta?
