Anybody have a small (preferably) or medium trap harness their child has outgrown they want to part with? My daughter (7years old) has just figured out how fun trapping out is and wants her own harness. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Tawd

Give me a minute to look for it, but I think I have a small harness that came with my boat when I bought it. It's an old-school butt bucket, with the tie in hook plate. It was waaaay to small for anyone I knew when I last looked at it.
I just walked out to the barn and I was able to put my hands on the harness. It doesn't have the tie in plate like I thought, it's part of the velcro webbing, it's a little nicer/thicker than those early nylon ones. Shoot me an e-mail at hobie16hullflyer (at) yahoo (dot) com, I think this one might work out.
After you are done with that one, I want it next. My three year old and 20 month old will be ready by then. I took the break between races and the light summer winds to get them comfortable on the boat. My 20 month boy is already hanging over the side trying to play with the water.
It is a little harder with two young ones but I am sure that day will come soon enough. I am not in a hurry to push either into it. They have plenty of time and when the time is right, I will know it.
I tied a rope to a tree and let Ashleigh hang a few feet off the ground by the trap harness moving around the tree till she was comfortable before we went to the boat. Then I let her hang by trap handle on the beach till she was further comfortable. As you said they will tell you when they are ready.

yup. 9 yr old wont stay on the tramp or hull. I thought letting him drive would keep him off the wire then he turned us down wind so I put spinny up and get it trimmed and looked back at him and he is hanging from the trap handle with one hand and the other hand has the extension like hes in his opti
generally not letting four kids trap at the same time with the spin deployed
