I just wanted to thank all the members of the Lake Hopatcong Yacht Club who graciously hosted their A cat event and fed and housed the racers. Specifically Fred and Ellie Steinbaum for taking Dan Berger and myself into their incredible home. This regatta is a must do for A catters.
While there I had the privilege of meeting "Doc" Stern a truly inspirational 90 year old who races A cats( and wins). Check this link.

Been to every regatta on the lake since its inception and will be back next year.

The fleet included 3 sailors who have been racing in the class since the late 60's early 70's. Another must meet person at Lake Hopatcong is Cal Fuller the designer of the original Cat Nip .
