Dutch Coast Challenge update = DCC update.

With another Australian crew expressing 90 % certainty of participating the number of participating boats comes at 8.

One crew will only be present in the last weekend as a cheering squad so we won't count them.

I think I will put a limit on the number of boats participating and the limit will be 10 boats.

I need to arrange for lodging for all of them and past 20 sailors it will become difficult.

Also I want to keep the group controllable and 10 boats + 20 sailors seems like a good cut-off.

So there is room for two more boat+crews if anybody is interested ?

Hi wouter,

Could you send me the NOR? I would not say off the bat that I am joining but one never knows.

I wish the event the best of luck.

Cheers,
Edmund

Wouter,

Can you please tell me, who are the Australian crews that are sailing and what boats are they sailing?

Rob.

Hi Rob

Phill & I have both purchased our tickets.

Although we are taking seperate routes there. We will both be there for the start and the finish.

Blades are our chosen form of transport once were there.

Regards TJ.

But I have to update that with the new info. Expand rather, because nothing on it has changed; I just have more info now.

We are looking to included everything (lodging, race fee, costs for car, ferry, food, drink, everything !) in one single entry fee except the lunches. Most will probably buy these at the local beach cafe's or compose a package of the Breakfast stuff.

The whole thing lasts for 9 days and we are currently going on the careful estimate of 350 Euro entry fee to which you may expect anything between 0 and 100 euro for the lunches and beer money. Only thing in addition to this will be the ticket to fly in.

I think we have two crew spots available at this time. One on a Dutch boat (Taipan 4.9 spi) and one on a English one (Stealth F16).

I will pick anyone up from the airport and bring them to it.

Dates start morning 24 juli 2004
end evening 1 aug 2004 (after farewell dinner)

I wish the event the best of luck.

Thanks !

Wouter
