Australian Taipan Nats just completed with 47 sloop rigged 4.9's competing. Full range of conditions saw Glenn Ashby narrowly winning from Daniel Van Kerkhof, Andrew Williams Third.



Notable was the closeness of the racing and the age range of the competitive boats. A great week!

Racing in the top 15 was extremely (read very very very) close... within that were 114 (Chris Cairns), 147 (Andrew williams, 3rd), also 51, 129, 56, 74, 85. Not sure how old that makes these boats, but much older than the 250's and 260's they were mixing it with.

not to forget Noel Grellet's No. 3 ... (1st in the Cat division)

I would say 51 would have to be about 9 years old, as my boat (62) is about 8 years old.



Gary, you will be relieved to know I have since found the nozzle to the pump.
