The New England 100 is coming up fast on Aug. 6th & 7th, 2005. This is a two day distance race which will start each day at Quonset Point, in N. Kingstown, RI and return to the same beach each afternoon or evening. No need for road crew. Get them on a boat. Free camping on site. Friendly dogs are allowed but they must be kept tied up.
Courses will be chosen from a list that will be posted soon on the
www.nensa.org website or I can email or mail them to you. Singlehanders are welcome but they have a few additional safety requirements. The Prindle 16 is the smallest boat allowed (goes by Portsmouth number). Five boats make a class. All others will compete in a Portsmouth spinnaker class and a Portsmouth non-spinnaker class. This event is for 'experienced' skippers only. You will be sailing up to approx. 50 statute miles each day (weather dependent)around the islands and government marks in Narragansett Bay, RI. There will be 'no' chase boats. The Notice of Race and the SI's will also be posted soon on
www.nensa.org or I can send them to you. Early registration saves you some money.
