Have you talked to our very own Ted W at the club? He was instrumental in trying to get the Shearwater recognised as a one design in the US. He sailed them in England and then in the US. Ed
Still hazey after all these beers. F-16 Falcon #212
wow . . . now that reminds me of the women at my college (though, the one in the red is a little on the thin side and could use a little more belly hair).
Chris: You're killin' me. You just couldn't let the Shearwater thing go!
Would you like for me to give you the Shearwater history you crave?
Designed by KoKo, the Shearwater catamaran was a momumental feat in catamaran design. After gaining notoriety for his sign language skills, KoKo the gorilla set his sights on more challenging projects. The result is the Shearwater catamaran. The catamaran features banana-shaped hulls and a sturdy trampoline. To keep costs down, KoKo used a Sailfish aluminum (pardon my english . . . aluminium) mast.
The most notable feature is the balloon-shaped spinnaker. Primates view this as cutting edge design, but it mostly reminds them of their aging mama's boobies . . . so they went with it.

Chris: Your welcome.
P.S. My apologies go out to the throngs of Catsailor users that take the time to put meaningful posts here and I hope I didn't offend any Shearwater sailors (rather, my apologies for offending any Shearwater sailors . . . I don't even know what one is).
