Never did I say it was new. That "push rod" landyacht you see with that setup was designed in 70's.
I'm not interesting in designing completely new stuff, I'm not an egotripper in that sense.
I just want to find what is good in other designs and use it in a new way or on a new craft.
Actually that very dated landyacht is an excellent performer and surprisingly lightweight. I clocked 60 km/h AVERAGE on a parking lot with it. It has excellent accelleration and it restarts very easily from a full stop, something landyachts normally don't do.
The other drawback you specify are related to the hull design.
With respect to the Peanut, well what can I say ? Some designer just design shitty machines. <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> Still doesn't mean the basic concepts used in them are bad.
