The positive hold system is a bungee that loops around the outside of the daggerboard and anchors to some grommeted holes on the trampoline. The section of bungee that touches the daggerboard is threaded thru a pvc pipe wrapped with a spongy neoprene material that rolls as the board is lifted and lowered. The outside corner of the bungee closest to the shroud is tied to the shroud to prevent the bungee from overcontracting past the daggerboard well if the system goes over the top of the daggerboard.
