When you say you have to hold the rudders tight/hard, is the boat trying to constantly head upp into wind. It could be that they need some adjustment. A little weather helm is usually desirable, but having to hold on real tight is not. Sail trimming is always required <img src="http://www.catsailor.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
