Good point.

Although when sailing two-up it is harder to overtake the F18's and F20's downwind. Pretty much the F16 1-up and 2-up have very similar performance around the course when averaged over the windconditions, while the speeds on individual courses and conditions may differ somewhat.

What I was intended to say is that a 1-up F16 under spinnaker will run down F18's and F20's in pretty much all conditions except the very rough conditions. The 2-up version is pretty much equal to the F18's. The fact that around the course time is the same between both version comes from the fact that a 2-up crew can work the boat harder on courses and in manouvres. This allows them to win back time that the 1-up version wins in straight line speed.

But again, the differences are surprisingly small and I could have just written "F16's"
