IF you folks would take a look at the new A-class tramps, you will see how weight- and expense- have gone DOWN. Grommets are much rarer now, just fold and sew each edge to hold a rod or hard tube. There is less stress on the fabric, with sealed-edge holes for the lines going to fewer hard points on the hulls. This mesh fabric is really tough stuff nowadays.
