On my Blade, there's a thin line at the bottom edge of the hoop. Tie this to the port bridle tang. I've never had a problem with the sheets getting caught round the hoop - this line makes it almost impossible.

This line is also on the Spitfire. It helps to stop the hoop from sagging down.
