I've noted this past season a number of irregular tears developing along the foot of the spinnaker extending in a wedged shaped distributuion to the first tab of the retrieval line. couldn't find any possible snag points so kept sailing as they were in a low load area. my sailmaker noted yesterday that they did not have the typical fraying associated with ringding tears etc and thought they looked more like tears from rope burns. he thought possibly treating the sail with mclube would prevent these. anyone with similar experiences or thoughts on prevention? thanks.luis
