Apart from the "sound" area, here all boats are required to conform to highest safety standard. I guess "over the pond" would have similar requirements to those. Thanks

Short offshore is "sound area" racing fairly protected in that one can get help inside a few hours. Open sea but inside a reef system that offers some protection.
