. . . The 750 is a nice ride and every beachcat owner, IMO, should aspire to have a tri when they grow up...

So give us a report. What's it like?
I've owned and raced/cruised one for a year. Performance wise, the boat's sailplan really powers up in 10-12 knots of breeze. Upwind we'll sail 9.5-10.5 knots boatspeed max with around a 95 degree tacking angle. Downwind we'll sail around 1.2 times the windspeed when the boat is planing (that's typically in anything over 10 knots) up to 18-20 knots max boatspeed. Jibing angle is 80-100 degrees ranging from heavy to light air respectively.
In mixed PHRF racing, we're faster than anything 32 feet and under in 4-6 knots. I'd say we are keeping up with 35-40 foot racing keelboats in 7-10 knots and keeping up with 45-50 racing keelboats in anything over 12 knots where the center hull starts to plane.
The really cool thing about this boat to me is how much fun it is to take friends daysailing. I took my mom (87 years young), brother, and sister-in-law out for an afternoon of sailing. It started around 5-7 knots of wind so we headed out into Lake Pontchartrain on a close reach at 8-8.5 knots using the mainsail and screacher. We sailed for a couple of hours and turned around. On the broad reach home, the breeze picked up to around 10-12 knots and we saw 13 knots of boatspeed on the GPS (again using just the main and screacher).
The boat has a Portsmouth rating of around 65 so it's about as fast as a Hobie 20. Not bad, not bad at all especially when you can sip a beer while you are sailing.
I have a great combo with the A-Class and the Sprint. Nice pair of toys!
