I car-topped my first A-Cat when I got it. I do not know how you could car-top a Hobie Wave just because of the wieght involved. I think that the Weta is a great boat by the looks of it, but is it a good boat for kids. Some of the A's out there are probably to much for kids as well, but older woodies like the Fuller Catnip or ones like my Boyer MKIV would work well for kids.
