There is a crew weight - what Mike is saying is that there is not the F18 weight limit on sail plan use. Teams well under 308 lbs. are permitted to use the large (only) sail plan under Hobie class rules. Portsmouth Committee kept a slightly faster number to accomodate teams that do Portsmouth events or Qualifiers sailing under the Hobie rules.
