I drive by the reservoir and forebay on a regular basis. The only time I trailered out there to sail, there was no wind. Nearly every other time I drive by the wind is howling. I've hear the reservoir can be quite tricky--very erratic wind direction and stregth. I've heard the forebay is better in that sense, but I don't know the depth of the water or the height of the power lines overhead.

Typically if I'm headed up that way I either go to Santa Cruz or my home town of Half Moon Bay.
