Good eye, if it was me, I'd at least have a line on it even if it wasn't doing anything! My wife hates it when I watch some sailing like that on TV... I point out what they're doing wrong (or improperly) or impossible to do while sailing. She says "just watch the dang thing and quit nit-picking, its a show!".
