Don't forget....the Great Texas starts this Wednesday, June 11th. Boats are due to push off the beach at 10:00 AM Central Time & the race will be ON!! In its sixth year, we have 12 boats in the Great Texas Catamaran Race along with 8 boats in the brand new Surfside to Galveston Dash, making a total of 20 Cats this year finishing in Galveston on Saturday the 14th.
Teams Gazelle, Chums, Bayou Boys have arrived in South Padre and other teams are expected to day, along with the Race Committee. Reports from the beach by Steve Piche say that the surf is UP, making it a challenge for getting in any practice time.
