I can show you a few tips at Shell Lake, or Green Lake if you go. Should be able to rig the chute without hoisting. This is especially true when the breeze is up, that is a good way to break a mast, flip your boat, and shorten the life of your spinnaker all at the same time. Only reason to raise the chute on dry land is to check the luff tension. Do that once and mark the halyard. Also I have pigtail splice into on my spnn sheet.
