No I was not aware of another discussion. I actually had a sqaure top main sail made for the uni by another well known, very successfull sail maker on the west coast two years ago. I don't want to bad mouth them, I under stand building a custom sail is difficult. Especially since I feel my aluminum mast is soft and bends too easily. The sail I received I felt was too flat and the sqaure top openned up too early. It also was about two inches too short, thus the distance between the main sheet blocks was great and I felt I could not get the main centered. It was a pretty sail but just never performed. I was hoping someone already had a design out there because I am not sure I want to go through the process of trying to have one built again.
