I fully agree with the simplier method (line with block).. I have used this method on my P-19 for years... the large benefit is that it will pull from the aft section of the mast and not the front, causing the mast to under-rotate.. you need the mast to rotate >90 degrees to have the chute load "linear" with the mast... I have used chutes with a front bail, and somehow, never broken a mast, but come very close... it becomes a physics issue rather than a weight issue... the "Inter" design (pictured) still pulls from the front of the mast...
