I just got off the phone with the man himself, one of the most influential waterman in history. The father of the modern surfboard and the man who revolutionized catamaran design and construction, Hobie is a legend that spans across vessels, disciplines, and sports.

I first started thinking about Hobie when fuel went through the roof - the same economic issue that may have helped Hobie Cats get so big in the 70s. I thought he might be able to give sailors and industry insiders some perspective on the past and future of sailing. It's taken me a couple of months to track him down, but today he agreed to answer the Anarchists' questions on tape.
