The combined A-Class and 505 Midwinter Championship takes place this coming Friday through Sunday at Fort Desoto State Park south of St. Petersburg. Right now there are 49 boats pre-registered (21 A-Cats and 28 505's). It's pretty cool that two of the more popular classes in dinghy and multihull racing co-host an event like this. The fleet talent is deep in both classes and the racing should be exciting. The weather forecast looks excellent with sunny skies, temps in the 70's, and easterly winds forecast at 6-12 knots for all three days of racing.
