My wife once told me she thought of herself as a sailor until she met me...

Seems the type of things we enjoy in sailing are totally different! She enjoys socializing, sailing with more than two on board. "Bar hopping" by boat. Casual and relaxing (lazy) sailing. Not too challenging conditions. Busy canals and small lakes. Hot weather (no trades here! So you know what that means...)

I like trapezing for miles at a time. Seeing no-one else for hours on end. Staring at tell-tales and waves like the meaning of life, the universe and everything will be eventually revealed by them. Being suddenly brought back to reality by the pale-faced crew screaming at me from the windward hull to "do something"!
Oh yeah; big waves and Air time ;-) and more generally; Any sailing location the authorities publish warnings for.
Needless to say, she HATES these things (sniff, sniff).
