Thanks to the Corps of Engineers our lake is back slightly above where it was for last year's Spring Fever Regatta. Our preregistrations are not however.
Due to a number of requests, we intend to have a strictly novice class this year for those who have raced very little or none at all. Let's spread the word and get some first timers on the race course and to Spring Fever. Hank and Nigel have it worked out so that it will not impact the other classes so let's get behind them and see if we can't make this an annual event to further the interest in catamaran racing.
Now Guys and Gals, we know a lot more of you are planning on being here but we really need to have you preregister so that we can get the shirts, food, and a dozen other items on order. There’s only so much a busy builder and an old man can accomplish in a given period of time and we need as much lead time as possible to put on the type of regatta you’ have come to expect from us each year.
So please, help us out. Go to the “Who else is coming” page on the website and if you see any names that you know would really be missing this great event, call them and get them to sign up. It’s hard for me to believe that anyone who attended last year won’t be back for Nigel’s party night with last year’s band returning for a repeat performance. Of course, the Honey Baked Ham folks are again going to be providing the outstanding dinner and lunches. Also, Doc'’s Food & Spirits, the Tommy Bahama Rum folks, are also on board again for this year.
Looking forward to seeing you soon.
