Anyone is allowed to build Mosquitos. Over the last few years, there has been a steady run of new foam-sandwich boats being built from the mould shaped by Russell Denholm, which has proven to be the best hull shape so far for a Mosquito. Home builders have also been building and sailing their own plywood Mosquitoes.
